A launchpad for many Irish writers' careers since its establishment in 1986, this short story series in honour of Francis MacManus is one of Ireland's most significant literary prizes. Top prize: €5,000; ten shortlisted stories are broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 and published on rte.ie/culture each year.
